Papa Mike is on another adventure with his Grandson Anthony – this year Anthony and I are off to Colorado to hike a section of the United States Continental Divide Trail between Silverton, Colorado and Durango. The goal is to spend 3 to 4 weeks in the backcountry hiking and fishing. Anthony turns 14 during this trip, Papa Mike is 63. Each year Papa Mike wants to take his Grandchildren on a 14 year old adventure for both himself and them. Something that will help both to understand there is less to be afraid of and that we all can do more than we think.
Last year PapaMike pedaled his 3 wheel recumbent trike 9,000 miles. Grandson Michael joined him at the Canadian border and pedaled his recumbent bicycle 2,100 along Alaska Highway into Fairbanks Alaska.
